Toor dal rice – 6+ months
Ingredients:
1. Toor dal – 2 tbsp
2. Salt as reqd
3. oil -1 tsp
4. Ghee – 1/2 sp
5. Mustard seeds – 1/5 tsp
6. Curry leaves
7. Garlic – 1 pod
Method:
1. Pressure cook toor dal with salt, 1/2 tsp oil, garlic and a pinch of turmeric pwdr.
2. Pour oil in a pan n splutter mustard seeds n curry leaves.
3. Drain water from toor dal (if any) n smash it.
4. Add the toor dal n allow it to boil until it becomes a thick consistency.
5. Smash the rice n add the toor dal gravy with ghee n serve it.
Hint:
Moong dal (pasi parupu) rice can also be done in the same way.
